Islander Family Studio 137, Ground Floor, Steps to Pool and Beach

Centrally located 10 minutes north of the Lihue airport, next to the Coconut Marketplace. Islander on the Beach is sitting on 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens with swaying palms trees and cooling trade winds. This ocean front resort features a gorgeous pool and hot tub and is home to the local Sand Bar.

This ground floor studio has 2 full size beds, a fully stocked kitchenette with small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle (no cooktop). Perfect for a small family or traveling friends. Wireless Internet, smart TV, cable, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler for your exploring day trips. Close to shopping, beaches and activities. Perfect place to stay and enjoy the island on a budget!

Cette location est bien située par rapport à l’île propreté des lieux tout près du Coconut Market Place mais épicerie pas loin avec toutes les commodités ( beaucoup moins cher) c’est une île donc très cher mais ça vaut le coup pour les panoramas magnifiques la végétation luxuriante et faire l’excursion en catamaran pour visiter la Napali Coast

Parking was easy, air conditioned wasn’t as cold as we thought it could be. Room wasn’t very clean, the closet had a lot of sand in t. The bathroom even had some feces on the floor, and the dishes were wet, like they were just rinsed and put away.

We enjoyed our stay overall as the location was amazing ! When we emailed the property manager we got a response fairly quickly and they addressed our issues with the exception of a very slow draining sink in the kitchenette. We managed but dishes would have been easier with a properly draining sink I would absolutely recommend this property and will definitely be back if we are back on Kauai !

I enjoy the stay. Just one thing that need to be corrected, the shower curtain smells bad. I know that Hawaii humidity is high and makes everything slows to dries up. Good thing Kristen provide a spray bottle of Clorox under the sink that I use to eliminate the odor.

The door code we were given wasn’t correct, so we had to use the phone at the reception to call the after hours number (this was just after 4pm, so check in time, strange that check in time is not within normal office hours). Luckily they were able to provide the right code so we could get in.The studio is smaller then the pictures show and smelled terrible. The smell was moldy in especially the bathroom and cabinet in Living room, but the smell was everywhere. The studio, not condo, was old and everything in it too. Room was small and so were the beds, especially for 2 people. Pool/beach towels provided also smelled and were very old. The bed covers which were also meant to be used as blankets, were dirty and probably not washed in a long time. One bed had sand and dirt on it.The curtain was super old and moldy on the outside. We contacted management about our issue. The did reply early the next morning and offered a refund for the second night so we could change locations. Sadly we didn’t have that option since we had left the property very early in the morning, before the reply and didn’t get back until after dinner. We didn’t have time to find something else and move since we were only staying 2 nights. I hope they will fulfill my question of there was anything else they could offer as compensation.Especially the smell and it being old and not clean sadly took away from our Kauai experience. It didn’t meet any of the other reviewers experiences.
