« I don't understand the average review rate... My room was strongly smelling cigarette even if it is supposed to be non-smoking room and it was not that clean. At the breakfast there were no more eggs and regular coffee. The only employee I saw seemed too busy to take care of all these details. The AC was so so. I understand it's under renovations but they don't even seem to try to make up for that. On the positive side it was quiet until about 7:30 when the construction workers started. ...

The rooms furniture is all stained, the bath tub had no plug the carpet was black, kids were running up and down the hall screaming and slamming doors, and I found at least 10 rusty nails laying in the parking space right next to my tire. « This is one of the nicest hotels in Topeka...Staff totally professional..it is clean! Has a bar and restaurant that serves from the bar area..Many arras that are open to watch TV or just play cards...the room we had on 1st floor had exceptionally high ceilings, really nice! The area is very accessible to event happenings. »

« My room was in good shape. The remote did not work very well on the TV unless I stood right in front of it to change the channel. The building is close to the highway so there was alot of noise around the entire building. The area around the building was a little sketchy but I did not experience any issues during my stay. There was alot of activity in the hallways a couple of nights that did concern me but things settled down around midnight during the weekend. »

« When we first walked into the lobby it smelled sooo clean. I was amazed. Got to our room and again. It was so clean. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The staff making the breakfast was extremely sweet. Even told us to take a muffin for our journey back home. Our room was one of the best I've ever stayed in. »
