"An amazing place and experience. We had private indoor and outdoor onsen in the room and used it a few times as it was really convenient. Our hosts for the two nights, Natalie and Mizu, were extremely helpful and friendly. The meals, all in a private room, were excellent and gave us an authentic experience of Japanese breakfast and dinner cuisines. "

"My only complaint is that it was difficult to find (I recommend not bothering with trains/busses and just take a taxi. You’ll save yourself a lot of grief). Otherwise I have nothing but great things to say! It was quiet, clean, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. "It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge."

They made us feel very at home. The free shuttle to and from the station was very convenient and easy to reserve. "The woman who runs this inn is an amazing person. She was kind, recommended great local restaurants, and even drove us to Kanazawa station free of charge at the end of our stay. The rooms are impressive, japanese-style, and have access to an onsen. Highly recommend a stay here. "

"This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa...

"I booked this hotel mainly for its airport shuttle. Even though there’s only one to the airport in the morning, they went above and beyond to help and accommodate me. The room was massive and provided absolutely lovely views. I do have tattoos so they had to be covered when entering the bath. The building is old and smells of moisture, which I think comes with running an onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. "

"The W&M House is simply outstanding. The suites are spacious, immaculate, well appointed, and very reasonably priced. While there is not much in the immediate area, the guest house is a short walk to many of the best spots in Kanazawa, whether the restaurant and nightlife district, the Omicho market, museums, and the gorgeous Kenroku-en Gardens. The manager is fantastic. Bill met us and showed us to our room, everything is clearly labeled, and when one of our party had an illness he helped out...
