The dinner I got served with my stay was amazing! The private bath house was also very nice. A lot of amenities provided. Free tea, ramen, etc. Be aware that the hotel is a far (about 30 minute) walk from the bus station and about 40 from the village. There are shuttle busses that will take you there, but they are small & only run at certain times. I was able to relax and decompress despite my very short 16h stay thanks to the private and public open air baths, snacks, yukata, and attentive and welcoming staff. We initially were not sure how to get to the property from the Shirakawa Go bus terminal and had started a 30-minutr walk. But!--before we got to far, we spotted a shuttle with the Onyado Yui no Sho sign. We luckily were able to board the shuttle. We opted for the dinner and breakfast reservations and it definitely was a highlight of the experience-- traditional and fresh foods served as 3(?) courses, presented in beautiful dining pieces. Our sever was very friendly and accommodating, and even sought feedback on his English! (He shared with us that he has studied and plans to continue studying abroad, and his English will only improve!) I am very awe-inspired by the staff's dedication to hospitality. Our room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! Beds were comfortable.
