"It’s a very grand hotel with amazing view of the Sakuajima. Loved the onsen! Great services and a good variety and quality of breakfast. The only thing that bothered me was the thin walls of the room it can get a bit noisy at night, but everything else was good enough to make up for the only problem. The hotel also has nice souvenir shops. "

"On-site laundry inadequate for size of hotel: one washing machine and one dryer. Breakfast room also undersized: we had to wait 5-10 mins on 2 occasions to get a table. Onsen was adequate, but water too cold. Room was small, but bed was comfy. Good location within easy walking distance of many restaurants and main shopping district."

"Absolutely fantastic stay at hotel Nakahara Bessou in Kagoshima! The staff here are exceptional. They were very friendly and even helped us book a rental car and ferry to yakushima. The rooms are as described, very clean and spacious. The onsen in the evenings was divine. I would highly recommend for your stay in Kagoshima."
