2 issues: the shower had some mold on the tile, the shower curtain was a little smelly and the shower wouldn’t turn on. It was fixed that day, but I had to rinse my hair and body by splashing water from the tub faucet. I was never offered a compensation like a free drink from the bar, etc. The 2nd issue was the breakfast. There were no dairy free or gluten free options at all. Cereal had no milk alternative, coffee was the same, no oatmeal. It was very basic.

The room was TINY, could barely move around. Nowhere to hang longer clothes because a refrigerator was directly under the hanging bar. One low chair by a fold-down wooden slat for a "desk," but couldn't walk around to the side of the bed with the chair out to the "desk." Breakfast (extra $20 per night) was good. Lunch cost us $61 for 2 sandwiches, which we had to wait 35 minutes for, and the grilled cheese was a cold slab of cheese. Had to send back to the kitchen to get it grilled/melted.

It's okay for people who will engage the casino. I was there for an event, the venue of which is another hotel. Room rate for Landing River Hotel was half of the event's venue hotel. That I thought was a good deal. The problem is you have to use the valet service, especially if you are a solo traveler. It's free, but I don't care about valet driving my car. Now It's not a choice for me, since I have a couple of luggage that I need help to unload. The valet was not helpful at all, even when I ask for his help. He just keep asking for the key, even when I have not even finish unloading. I was already tired, as the trip took me longer due to an accident on the i70. The valet seem to be new and not know the protocol of what a valet should be. I figured out he was so excited to drive a new car, a late model MDX, that he kept asking for the key even before I got off my car to unload my luggage. I even asked him why he is in a hurry. I got there at about 8pm on a Tuesday. A slow day in fact there was no other guest when I arrived. There's more, I'll just stop here for this incident. You have to kind of go thru the casino to get to the hotel reception area. The casino generally allows smoking except for a small area towards the back. The valet office is inside casino. To get to park garage, if self park, you have to walk thru the casino and it is almost towards the back. At EOD, the hotel elevator ground floor area, is saturated smoke. I think smoking is allowed at the hotel bar.
