Jemnice Vacation Packages

Vienna is located 65 miles to the southeast of Jemnice, and Linz is situated 75 miles to the southwest.

If you enjoy the great outdoors, visit a couple of this region's natural areas. Podyji National Park is located 20 miles from Jemnice, while Osika Lake sits 19 miles away.

Tyrsuv Stadium in Jindrichuv Hradec, 25 miles to the west of Jemnice, is a must-visit for sports fans. When the game's over, hang out with the local fans in the nearby bars.

If you go 7 miles to the northwest of Jemnice you'll reach Dacice. Some time here gives you the chance to visit Carmelite Monastery and Church of St. Anthony of Padua. In addition, you could check out St. Peter and Paul Church and Premonstratensian Monastery in Nová Říše. This destination rests 7 miles from Jemnice.

You need to head 12 miles northwest from Jemnice to reach Borovná. There's plenty to do there, such as Castle Roštejn, Telc Palace and Sv Ducha. Church of St. James and Jezuitsky kostel Jmena Jezis are some more places that should be on every traveler's must-see list.

Trying traditional food is one of the best ways of getting to know a destination. So be sure to visit some of this region's cafés and restaurants.

There's nothing like fresh, local ingredients. You'll find that beef and cabbage are often used here.

How about trying svíčková na smetanÄ› (beef in cream sauce) and moravsky vrabec (pork stew)? These two are easily found here.

No dining experience can be complete until you've had a little something sweet. Ovocne knedliky (fruit dumplings) will definitely do the job.

There's nothing like a brew or two with friends to cap off a great day. Krusovice is what many of the locals choose.

If you don't want to have any alcohol, why not have a coffee?

Those who appreciate a stiff drink should most certainly order a Tuzemak, a fiery spirit.

If sharing a bottle of wine is something you might enjoy, ask for the menu and look out for Ryzlink rýnský (Rhine Riesling) or Frankovka (Blaufrankisch). These quality drops come direct from the region's vineyards.

Unfortunately, all vacations must eventually end. When the curtain falls on your Jemnice adventure, say "Na shledanou", spend your final Czech korunas, and reminisce over all the wonderful adventures you've had.

When it's time for your flight, you'll want to know that Turany Airport is about 50 miles to the east.
