"Great location in the sky island of West Texas. Loved the quite, nature ridden area. Especially the wildlife - like the Burros or Donkeys. The cabin was perfect for our needs, having lacking of nothing."

"Very quaint and historic hotel. Well maintained and staff are very friendly. Eat at the restaurant on the property, which was very good. Just a suggestion, though when you check in request a room at the back of the hotel so that you cannot hear the train that runs through throughout the night. Very clean considering how old and historic the place is. We really enjoyed our evens night stay"

"Texas has huge Katydids - be warned. The room was clean - very clean. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again there. The Town which is a mile down the road was charming! Like an old west town. The Fort was amazing, the gift shop was cool, and we spent the whole afternoon at the Museum learning about Fort Davis and the old west."
