Friendly greeting. Upgraded to a suite on arrival (likely because it was hotter than Africa and the AC unit is in the living room, not the bedroom) and we had a nice stopover. Jasper is a little getaway everyone should experience. The Tonquin worked for us. Thinking of this community as it faces tough times ahead…

Wasn’t ideal having a portable AC unit as the only source of AC for the whole 2 bedrooms. It was extreamly hot so we had to close off the back bedroom to try to conserve the cool air. A fan was provided (quickly) when asked for a solution, however the fan didn’t really help.

The room is smell like an old carpet. The tub drain was not working properly. While having a shower, the water was reaching my ankles. I had to call for them to fix it. The faucet attachment to the wall was loose. And to make it worse they only had one portable air-conditioning in the room that was barely working. We set it up for 18° and the room temp was at 26°. I had a terrible experience. It is a two star hotel priced as a four star hotel. The staff were OK. I asked them to give me a bill at checkout and they told me that they were not able because I booked through Expedia. I find this unacceptable as this is the first time that this has happened to me.

Worst stay of our entire trip the ac doesn’t even cool the room. It was 28 degrees in the room. Wish we should’ve known this before. We will never stay at this property again.

Sauna was not hot at all. There were little kids in the gym facility playing pass with the exercise ball while I was trying to workout. There was also no AC in the gym so it was very hot. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My only complaint is there was basically no A/C. There was a inside unit that pumped a/c in but it was so loud I couldn’t sleep. I woke up super hot and uncomfortable. Everything else was fine

The Tonquin Inn was a great place for us to start our exploration of Jasper and the Icefields Parkway. The staff was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.
