The room was nice and clean but very damp and musty, there was black mold in the shower and on my last night past of the shower ceiling fell in! The pool where the Frost bar is needs better filtration it was always dirty with bird poop. I got very sick after eating a hamburger at the snack bar near the beach and I heard many other people had the same experience with food poisoning from that snack bar. They need to replace broken chairs around the main pool I think half of them are broken. The food at the buffet isn’t hot , in the morning there was rarely bacon or yogurt, and you had to ask for it most of the time and even then I wasn’t always available. The hash browns weren’t cooked properly they tasted freezer burnt. There should be a disclaimer on this hotels page that warns about the stairs and hills as there are many many stairs ! (1,000 reviews) The check-in process was a bit tedious, but that was due to Expedia, not the hotel. To keep a positive experience, the hotel staff was very kind and upgraded us to a beautiful room. We were a family of four, including a 7-year-old child, and each of us had our own bed and private bathroom, which was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the waiters, and especially the bar staff. The entertainment was excellent; the girl who organized the karaoke had great charisma and energy. The weather was on our side, with sunny days throughout our stay. The food at the Blue Lagoon restaurant was delicious . we absolutely loved it. The entire resort staff is humble, respectful, and very kind. Recommendations: • I didn’t really like the “guagua” shuttle; I think a large golf cart would look better and feel more comfortable. • At the bars, drinks were often served in plastic cups, which takes away from the presentation. However, at the beach they used nicer cups, and we were able to take great photos there. (1,747 reviews) All of the staff were very super friendly. The resort itself was very beautiful and clean. I loved being right on the beach. I enjoyed the food options that were offered. The room was very beautiful, clean, spacious and had a nice patio seating area. The bed was very comfortable, as well. I liked the bathroom except for the toilet area. I had a big hole in the bottom of the wall. Also, my toilet seat was not secured to the toilet. I complained about it to several members of the staff who ensured me it would be fixed; it never was. We also tried out the restaurants. My steakhouse experience was wonderful. Delicious food, the restaurant was nice and the breeze from the ocean was amazing. The Japanese restaurant could have been better. We did not receive the Hibachi experience we had hoped for. There was no show, no excitement. It appeared as though the "chef" was untrained and just trying to help the staff. He wasn't even dressed in the same manner as the other chefs. Definitely different from other Hibachi experiences that I have had at other restaurants. Aside from the inconvenience of the bathroom and the letdown at the Japanese restaurant, I really, really enjoyed my stay.
