« My best friend and I stayed here with our four kids (17 and 13 and 17 and 16). We made the siblings share the king bed rooms and we moms opted for the twin room so we could have our own beds. The kiddos found the board games (Are You Normal? and Trivia Pursuit), pulled the table into the middle of the living room and spent the evening actually socializing and interacting with each other! « On the day of check in the host called me to let me know the property had an AC problem that would not be resolved until 2 days into our stay. He offered another in the same area which is their premium property. His wife was at the property making it ready for us after a late check out of previous guests.The three if us grandmothers thoroughly enjoyed our stay. « It was a great house and was close to the square. I loved the floor plan. We had three couples and every couple had their own section of the house. Then there was a large kitchen/dining/living area, which was perfect for our group. We also really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great place to stay! »

« When we arrived, we found mouse droppings on the bed, in the bathroom & dining room area. We had to wash the bedding and clean up. (So much for the cleaning fee, they charge!) Very disappointed in what our once favorite place to stay, has become. The past 2 times we've stayed, we've been dissatisfied with the cleanliness, which we brought to Gaustehaus Schmidt's attention. Decided to try again. Strike three, they're out. We'll have to search for another place, next time. »
