The hotel was in pretty good condition, very nice and clean. The only thing I would note is the shower water pressure is quite light, and it does take a good few minutes to become hot. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the hotel, and the quality was great for the cost. I would definitely say it's a solid choice if you come to Cusco and want to be in the historic centre area. The hotel also has a great location, being very close to a number of different shops, cafes, and restaurants. We tried new places to eat every night, and they were all amazing. Additionally, there were a couple laundry shops within 5 minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient for us. One thing I would note though, is the hotel is on an uphill from the majority of the shops and main areas of the historic centre, so walking back to the hotel might be a bit tiring/challenging, especially if you're experiencing altitude sickness. The hotel does offer complementary coca tea though, so that was nice to have throughout our stay o try and alleviate symptoms.

A decent stay. The room was spacious with a view, which we appreciated. That said, the hotel is situated at a higher elevation, so the walk from the train station is quite a hike — something to factor in, especially with bags or after a long journey. The most unpleasant part of our stay was discovering that the bathroom had a hatch connecting directly to the neighboring room. Our neighbor happened to be quite ill, and we could hear everything — every sound, every moment of discomfort. It made for a very uncomfortable night and a real lack of privacy. This is definitely something the hotel should address.

Kantu hotel was a lovely place to stay for our five nights in Cusco. It exceeded our expectations. Its location was perfect, our room was large and well furnished. The breakfasts were wonderful, and when we went for an early tour, they packed a breakfast for us to take with us.

Nice boutique hotel, people is friendly and welcoming. Service was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, a beautiful breakfast is included and staff could not be kinder or more helpful.
