« When my Wife and I were looking for a mini vacation, my first words were quiet with maybe a little fishing. If you like the sound of birds and the wind rushing through the trees, you have found your happy place. A most excellent choice for couples with perhaps a small family. We must have missed the whiporwhill season. I was hoping to hear them again. The fishing on Smith is always a gamble so prepare to catch a ton or none. The surroundings are top notch! Silence.....ahhhh! »

« This house is beautiful and comfortable! It is a very quiet neighborhood, so you want to make sure you aren't planning an evening party! It was perfect for us! The host was very helpful and the house was stocked for the weekend. Would love to stay there again! It was just what we needed to get away and spend time together! »

« there was some construction activity on other side of lake that was a bit intrusive of the peacefulness; the one bathroom is attached to master bedroom, so that guest had to walk through master to use the toilet. (minor inconvenience); eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T. I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing. »

« Well the VRBO website was down so check in was difficult and the owner was unavailable at the time we arrived. The cabin inside was clean but you should plan on bringing TP, paper towel and things like that. (There are stores nearby ) The control for the AC is not in the downstairs cabin where we stayed so we got hot at night and the porch facing the lake had not been swept or cleaned in awhile. The price and the location made up for the inconveniences so I’d definitely book again. »

« This beautiful place exceeded all expectations! Page, our host, communicated VERY well, responded quickly, and was a pleasure to interact with.
