"Beautiful property surrounded by trails to hike in the forest. Really unique lodge we were very glad we stayed. Plus was the spa and lovely outdoor hot tubs.
While the meals were okay but not great, we enjoyed the social hour and meeting the other guests. Lodge rooms were smaller than expected.
Beware that it is a long windy drive in and out of the hotel. "

"Just did not get any spa salt the second day! Great tub but very deep! And can be dangerous and slippery. "

"The room was very spacious, everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff was really nice and helped me with a heater upon my request, and also gave me suggestions of spots to go in the city. The common areas were very well taken care of. Would definitely stay there again. "

"We stayed in the cabin with a private kitchen. It came with towels, pots, pans, dishware and cutlery, fridge, microwave and hotplates to prepare food. Our stay was amazing. We loved the hot pool and the location. The cabin had heating and was warm (very cosy). The shared bathrooms were clean, with a hairdryer for ladies. Not sure if there were any dishes in a shared kitchen. Easy check in/out experience, very nice staff in reception. We'll be returning."

"Our favourite accommodation in NZ. A beautiful hotel with just the best location. A minute’s walk to Eat Street and just a few more to the CBD and other attractions around town. We had a lovely room with a private courtyard, the bed and pillows were super comfy and it was all very clean. The bathroom was great - large shower with good water pressure and double vanity basins and mirrors. Wonderful smelling toiletries and they even provided toothbrushes. The weekend staff were very helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough. "
