Didn't use the pool.

This property is not aesthetically appeasing and doesn’t look anything like the photos online. The area and neighborhood is not the best location. The hotel staff even lets homeless in to come in and eat and sit with the guest. The outside doors do not stay locked. Anyone can come into this hotel. You can tell that renovations were just done recently, but it’s a lot of patchwork. Our first room the AC did not work and we tried to give it a chance, but the clerk knew the AC wasn’t working when he put us in that room because he didn’t flinch or rebuttal when I told him the AC was not working, so he switched the room next-door. I barricaded my door is just to feel safe and that hotel.

Our stay was nice the hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and courteous.We did not utilize the pool nor the gym.

I did not utilize the breakfast, so I am not sure how that was. The room (lamps, tables, coffee pot, etc) were not cleaned in a very long time. They were covered in dust and had rings/sticky substances on them. The bed was very uncomfortable, in a too springy/sink when you sit type of way. When the room was "cleaned" during my stay, the housekeepers took all of the towels (including my personal towels) but did not leave any additional towels for me to use during my stay - luckily, I brought an extra towel to dry off with. They also did not replace the trash bags when they took out the trash, luckily, I had my own walmart bags for trash, so I used them instead. The a/c was either super cold or hot. I couldn't get the room quite comfortable temperature wise due to the Eco setting on the air conditioner. The pool was open but it was too cold to use. Not far from Lackland AFB, but traffic can make it take a lot longer to get on base, so I would recommend a closer hotel if you are going on base. While the neighborhood was a little sketchy looking (graffiti and a few homeless people), the property was very well lit. It wasn't a bad experience, more like inconvenient, but it could have been a little better. The staff I personally encountered (front desk) were friendly.
