Heeney Vacation Packages

I stayed here a little over five years ago, to celebrate the end of cancer survivorship. They surprised me with bubbly and snacks! So naturally I wanted to come back to celebrate the end of treatment. Place was as I remembered--everyone was friendly and warm. Room was clean, and even though it's in a busy area, I didn't hear any noise. It is a good location--easy to walk to Rockies games, easy walk to Union Station and a number of meal options. Starbucks is close by and there are a few few options right in MacGregor Square. There is a a free shuttle for rides within two miles from the hotel. It is great--the staff are nice. But, be aware, it's only one vehicle and it's first come, first serve. I was able to use it a few times this trip, but other times the wait seemed too long (20-30) for a timed event. My only small quibble is that there isn't a desk/chair in the room I was in (room with two beds). There are tables and good places to work in the lobby, though, so there are definitely places to work. Would return for sure.

Wonderful bed and pillows. Very comfortable. Love the one push button shower. The restaurant “Narrative” is excellent. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner and Happy Hour menu and all were very excellent and reasonably priced. The waitstaff and hostess were always extremely nice and attentive. The hotel is just a street away from the Cherry Creek Mall and many other boutique stores. For example, Rag and Bone is almost connected to the hotel to the left . There were two not so pleasant things to note. First thing , the hotel has absolutely no way to mitigate. The Milwaukee Ave is closed for through traffic and Ubers have to drop off and pick up at the side of the hotel , not at the entrance. There is no ramp on side of hotel , so carrying heavy suitcases up the few steps of stairs may be inconvenient. Count on being awaken by heavy construction noise around 7:00 AM. The other unnerving part of stay was the super shaky elevator. It would have been nice to be aware of that anomaly before getting on the elevator. Being from CA I really thought this was an earthquake and my worst nightmare of being stuck on an elevator was coming through. I was later reassured by front desk staff that elevator was deemed safe after an inspection, but regardless , just a heads up of the shaking situation would have been less scary. Next time I will ask for a lower level room so I can take the stairs. In a great location and great staff and services so would definetely stay here again.
