It is difficult to keep windows, doors and and glass clean being right on the water so apparently Maragritaville hotel Staff has given up trying.

It would be great if staff members could be a bit more gentle. It seems like only then did they say a proper “Good Day.”

Breakfast was good, could have had a few more choices. The room was ok, furniture was very uncomfortable, the toilet had a running noise all the time. The refrigerator was too small and the microwave was hard to get at because of being so low. The maids were good, but never gave us toilet paper we always had to ask. The pool area was nice, but kinda dirty, they didn’t clean it every day. The front desk staff were always very nice and helpful.

We stayed only 1 night while taking my son on a college tour. The hotel was clean and room was updated. We had a view of downtown and the St. John’s River. Check in was great with Emileigh. She was so friendly and welcoming, and she continued to greet us when we walked through the lobby during the evening. This area of downtown seems to be a corporate//financial district so not many open/walkable restaurants nearby on the weekend, therefore we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food and drinks were good and there were some TVs on with March Madness games, which made my son happy. We chose to valet park, which was very easy and the car was quickly retrieved when requested. The employees at Starbucks were also very friendly. The only negative to this hotel is that if you are traveling with a group of friends, etc, there ia not a place to sit around and socialize or sit and drink your coffee in the mornings. The lobby is just the check in desk and maybe a couple of chairs off to the side. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others traveling to Jacksonville.
