Lots of other hotels on the platz but this one is quirky and has its own identity. Bike and tandem rental optional. 15 min walk to the cathedral area. Shops and cafes nearby. Breakfast was ok but not amazing. Nearby croissants and cafes better for first meal of the day. Good bar and an excellent negroni! "Hausach is the perfect place to stay in the Black Forest and this is the perfect hotel in all respects. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the breakfast has a good choice and the evening meals of big portions and excellent value. We will certainly be back. It's a short walk to the station where you can use the free public transport within the region."

"This was a great place: spotless room, possibly the largest quadruple room we've ever stayed in. The bathroom was lovely, the room was modern and comfortable.
The staff were very nice, the breakfast ample.
Once upon a time, this house must have had a lovely view across the valley, it is becoming industrialised around it, but it's still quiet and peaceful.
Do not check in before 5. They really aren't open. If the restaurant isn't open then there are some nice restaurants in Hausach.

"Hotel Hirschen Glottertal is a lovely hotel in a very quaint village. This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a home base around many hiking trails and beautiful nature. The facilities and amenities are exceptional. It was a delight to explore the wonderful scenery and come back from a hike to a relaxing sauna session. "The place was cute. Very small room but you did get a small balcony. No AC and the hotel is on a main road so you did get traffic noise because your windows need to be open. Staff didn’t speak English and they were clearly frustrated I didn’t speak German. I have stayed at places where no one spoke English and they provided a piece of paper that had information about the hotel. This place made zero effort to accommodate international travelers. I would not stay here unless you speak FLUENT...
