Hartleyburn Vacation Packages

Room was extremely clean and modern. Slept really well. Very comfy bed and pillows. Good pressure on shower, floor to ceiling windows and clean modern communal areas. We didn't order breakfast as there is a weather spoons next door and far cheaper to pay £6 there, than £20 (£15 if you pre-book) at the hotel, but again that's down to personal preference. It was hot weather, and the air con worked very well.

There were signs of damp in the room where the wallpaper was peeling on the ceiling. We asked for a fan and were told it would be dropped in the room but it didn't arrive. The choices for gluten free food were poor, and I observed the staff using the same tongs to distribute all food from the oven, causing guaranteed cross contamination which could have been avoided. It was also disappointing that the upgraded spa access could only be used until 11am. We were also woken by screaming when another guest managed to gain access into the wrong room at 7am.

A beautiful building with great facilities.

Lovely Victorian house, with large rooms and modern amenities. Nice English breakfast and a wonderful authentic Indian restaurant attached to the property.
