Although it’s usually student accommodation, they absolutely make it feel like a proper hotel experience during stays. The whole place was spotless, modern, and really well maintained. The shower pressure was the worst I've ever come across. At some stages it was just a dribble of water. I did highlight this at reception but it didn't improve. There was a horrible pungent smell in the room and it was coming from the bathroom. The bathroom was consistently damp and the shower was slow to drain so I'd say that was the issue. The 1 bathroom is on the hallway, and the kitchen/dinning room/sofa bedroom has a door, so everybody gets privacy. The area is not turistic so may look not safe but it is literally 2 blocks from everywhere we wanted to go, except the Guinness tour which we walk to in 22 minutes. The check in and check out process was very easy and the personnel was very responsive. Staff who fail do not appear to suffer any consequences. The hotel has three beautiful rooms but none of them were in use. It's really difficult to access the spa so prople with disabilities beware. Our room was the smallest we've ever had a Fairmont and its location was singularly inconvenient. Thee were only two places to eat and nothing nearby.
