The condo is located in Gulf Shores, AL, Fort Morgan area, about 12 miles from the main attractions in downtown Gulf Shores. The Nationally Ranked Kiva Dunes Golf Course is located onsite, for those who like to golf. We also have Sassy Bass Island Grill, onsite, for your convenience. Very good food and drinks. Jessie’s fine dine restaurant is only a couple of miles away and they have delicious food and drinks, as well. Tacky Jacks is also a very good place to dine and is only about 5 minutes away. Dollar General is also a couple of miles away, conveniently located for your needs. The condo is located in Building 2, on the 2nd floor. It is convenient to the elevator and stairway. The condo is on the gulf side, gulf front, very close to the beach and pools which gives you about a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk, beach, outdoor pools and indoor pool. The unit has very good ocean views! It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with 3 queen beds that will accommodate 6 people comfortably. The Condo has been newly updated The kitchen is fully stocked. It has queen size beds in both bedrooms. Each room has room darkening curtains for a perfect sleep. Master bedroom has private bath. There are flat screen TV’s in both bedrooms and living room. It has a sofa sleeper in living room, with memory foam mattress, also queen size. It has Internet/wi-fi and cable. Long weekend getaway

My family really enjoyed our stay. The condo was great! Very clean and convenient to the beach and pools. The condo is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores proper but the seclusion is nice with plenty of stores and resturants close by to make it not a problem. We would definitely stay here again.

Fun Trip

The trip was fun and the room was nice but the drive to get to most restaurants was a good 15-20 minutes hence the 3 stars. The reason I'm giving 3 stars for cleanliness is because there was poop from a young child in the outdoor pool.

We have stayed at Gulf Shores Plantation for close to 20 years. It is a great resort. The condo was great, very clean, kitchen was stocked and so was the Closet with beach toys, rafts and an umbrella!!! Would HIGHLY recommend :)

Great time!

Second stay at this location and was just as expected once again. Everything you need for a week stay. Beaches not over crowded at all. Wish the internet was better for evening streaming. Over all a great stay.

Our condo was clean and set up perfectly. Shop early in the morning to avoid lines and if going into to town to eat go early afternoon to avoid waits. Beautiful place to vacation.

Condo was clean . Limited side view of beach. Ice maker not working and needs new pots and pans for cooking as cookware very old and difficult to cook seafood etc. New furnishing in living room. Nice indoor/ outdoor pool.

The room wasn't very clean. There was food on the floor when we entered and some of the linens were dirty. We also didn't get our code until 2 hours after check in time. Luckily the cleaning ladies were around and let us in after we got an email that the room "was clean and ready". The beach was nice and the room was mostly updated.

Nice Condo & View

This is a very nice condo. The location is great, just a minute walk to the beach. There are a few things about the condo itself that would make it better. This is a 2 bedroom condo and there is only one bedroom with a television in it. There is a television in the living room as well. Since we have small kids they had to sleep in the living room due to the fact that they wanted to watch tv at night(there was a pull out sofa). Also the 2nd bedroom is close to the hallway, and we noticed at night that it is very easy to see through that window, so maybe some better curtains would fix this issue. Overall the condo is great!!! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the near future. If you plan to visit, I would suggest that you grab any and everything that you may need from the store before you arrive as the nearest real grocery store is about 13 miles away.

Disappointing Stay

We thought long and hard about leaving an unsatisfactory review, but we unfortunately did not have the same experience as other reviewers with this rental and felt it worthy of mention. The AC did not work from the start and was not in service for 2 nights of our 3 night trip. Techs were sent out, but it was not repaired/replaced until 2 days in. Although we understand when certain things happen (i.e. owner informed us right before that the ice machine went out), the AC does not fall within this category. The outage affected our stay, especially when using the oven which heated up the small space and in the evenings when it was very warm and uncomfortable to sleep. We were offered a comp night & future discount, but feel we should have been compensated for the 2nd night as well that we spent without AC and proper ventilation. Communication was also one sided. We initiated each and every communication with the owner. Even after the initial mention of the AC issue, the owners did not check in with us following the techs visit the 1st day to see if they had any success. We have reasonable and fair expectations for our vacations, but when it comes to air conditioning, that is a "make or break" the trip type of amenity. This was a disappointing trip/stay for our family.

Not quite as expected

So, first of all, I realize a cleaning service is hired to take care of this unit after each guest checks out. All I can say is...whatever the owner is paying them, it's too much. I have a cleaning business, and there are many things being overlooked. There was a layer of dust so thick on the top trim of every doorway, that I was able to see it from several feet away (and my eye sight ain't what it used to be). Also, the fan and blades were covered in dust. Enough that it would have taken several months to accumulate. I also had to change the AC filter when we arrived. It was blinking on the thermastadt and it wasn't cooling properly. It might cut down on the dust, if someone would just check on that periodically...just sayin'. There was also some damage to the front entry door that had occurred the previous week, and it was not fixed properly. The door facing basically fell apart on our first full day there. It may have been the COVID situation that was delaying a proper repair, but still an inconvenience and interruption in our vacation. They put a bandaid on it, just like the first half-arse fix, and it was never repaired correctly, or replaced before we left. We were there 6 nights. I'm sure the next renters had to deal with the same issue. I can say, the owner was very apologetic, and answered any communication promptly. I do feel they were having a difficult time getting repair people to follow through. Overall, we still had a wonderful time. The complex is safe, and very family oriented. And the beach was beautiful, and the water was clear! And that's what we came for anyway.

A quick family getaway

This unit was perfect for a quick family getaway. We brought the grandparents along and we had enough space. The unit is well stocked and had everything we needed. The unit is all updated and very clean. Made our stay very enjoyable! The amenities in the resort are perfect for families.

It was very enjoyable

The bed in the brown mermaid room was uncomfortable and there wasn’t that many towels available in the unit but either than that it was very enjoyable. The tvs worked great and the location was easily accessible to all pools and the beach.

Family of 5 great place. My kids are 8yo and 5yo. They loved the ocean and pool. Most stores and places to eat are 20/25min drive. We didn't mind the dive at all. Definitely recommend for families.

End of summer getaway

Overall we had a great time. Cleanliness of the condo was fine but the property seemed a little dirty .I manage a public space so I know how difficult it can be to keep a property clean, The food in the area was good and we enjoyed breakfast at Sassy Bass. I would say there is a 99% chance we will stay there again in the future.

Great experience

Fort Morgan is a secluded part of gulf shores so finding things to eat or do took a little adventuring out but overall this was a perfect getaway spot. We really enjoyed the Sassy Bass menu which is very close and there are several locations nearby that have pizza options, alcoholic beverages, and seafood. The closest location to the condo closed at 4 but the other was right up the road. The condo itself was better than we expected! Located next to the elevator/stairs and parking. The walk to the pools and beach were very easy for a family with small kids. The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the owners were very quick to respond to any questions I had. The beach was not too crowded but there were quite a few jellyfish so I recommend bringing vinegar or sting relief just in case. There was a sea turtle nest marked right by the beach entrance so our kids liked checking on it. The waters are not as clear as parts of Florida but we were still able to see well enough. Overall I’m so glad we booked this condo in particular and would definitely stay here again.

Family really liked the location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach which wasn’t over crowded as you find in other areas. Room had all we needed for the stay. Liked being a little away from the crowds as it was only 15-20 min to be in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants.
