"Most everything was fine. Room was clean and spacious. Lobby was great. Restaurant was good with surprisingly good food. The young lady at the front desk from Cape Verde was amazing and made me feel totally welcome and appreciated. I didn't get her name, but she was great!"

"The hotel was clearly very beautiful and held a lot of history. The room was a bit tight for our family of 5 - especially the tiny bathrooms, but the beds were incredible. I liked that parking was included and the hotel was in walking distance of a lot of things in Salem. We ate at one restaurant in the hotel for dinner and the other restaurant for breakfast. Both were fine but not great. The wait staff at breakfast accidentally spilled maple syrup on my son, the table, and the floor. They apologized, but they didn’t clean it up. We had to ask for a wet cloth so we could clean it up ourselves, which I thought was so odd they wouldn’t have jumped in to remedy the mistake. We also made use of the free guest pass to the local YMCA. We loved having access to that! Unfortunately, a water main break at the hotel caused a massive leak in the first and second floors so there were dehumidifiers and industrial-sized fans everywhere in the lobby. The front desk were clearly strained from the intensity of the situation, but they were helpful anytime we had a question."

"It has always been on my daughter's bucket list to visit Salem, MA. This hotel was located very near Salem. There were plenty of restaurants nearby to satisfy whatever may be for your taste buds. There were children staying in other rooms but the rooms were very quiet. I have a support dog that I take wherever I go and they were GREAT with understanding my need to have him with me. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!"

"Was there on business so really just spelt the days/nights we were there. The hotel looks old from the outside, but updated on the inside. Breakfast was well priced with nice options. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Only problem we had was although there were four elevators, only three were working. At times only one was working. Had to walk down from the 9th floor at one point. But that was the only problem I had, other than it was a nice stay."

"Very comfortable, very convenient hotel. I was visiting for work so I didn't really do anything at the hotel except sleep, but my room was very comfortable. The person who ran the front desk every night was just about the hardest working person I've ever seen in my life and I think she was the only person working one night, but she still managed to have a positive attitude."
