« A perfect property to stay out of the way with a great view. The breeze kept the apartment comfortable the whole week, without needing fans or AC. It seems like miles away from everything, but it was only a 10 to 20 minute ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Cane bay beach was a perfect, close getaway. « Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! « The unit was clean and ready to go, once we found it. We arrived after dark and could not find it but Silver, the host, met us at the entry of this gated community and escorted us up. We own a place on St Croix but it was rented to others so we needed a place to stay for a week. This unit is convenient to the east end restaurants and there are 3 beaches within a 5 minute drive. « We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description.
