Our room was spotless, and I enjoyed the setting, but I was very disappointed when I wanted to use the pool and was asked to pay an extra £10 per person. How can a hotel guest be expected to pay to use the hotel's own pool? I have stayed in many hotels—in Scotland, Venice, Germany, Spain—and this is the first time I have ever experienced something like this. I found it to be in very poor taste and disrespectful to the guest!.On top of that, as a guest, you have to pay 24 pounds a day... I hope that in the future they don't start charging extra for taking a shower in your room.

Breakfast was lovely.

Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre

The hotel is in a great location for Cardiff Bay. Unfortunately, I stayed on the hottest days of the year. The room I was allocated on the ground floor did not have any windows that opened, and there seemed to be an aircon/heating unit that wasn’t working; fans were already in the room but didn’t help with the blistering heat and lack of ventilation. There was a portable heater in the room, so I assume there may be an opposite situation in the winter. The staff were really friendly and helpful, as much as they could considering the circumstances.
