« Stayed two nights while attending weddings in the area. A very unique and enjoyable stay. The trail down to the treehouse results in a quiet and secluded space - surrounded by forest and the sounds of birds. As mentioned in the listing, the path from the parking to the treehouse is a somewhat steep wooded trail, and there is a ladder up to the loft bedroom - so this would not be great for those with mobility issues. But for us, these things enhanced our stay, and we would definitely return. ...

« 23-23 September 2025 - It was a wonderful 6 days spent chilling, bird watching, and grilling. This is my second visit to the Goochland Getaway, and it will not be my last. The solitude was remarkable, as was the house. Thank you for a wonderful visit. I hope to visit again soon. »

« Everything was very nice. My family enjoyed the property we had a great time. The property managers allowed us to arrive early which was very accommodating. Highly recommend. »

« Host interaction and amenities could be improved. Large kitchen with extra seating was great. However, only 4 place settings available so we had to purchase our own. Most cookware was greasy/dirty - we had to rewash them. Also, no toilet paper, window blinds were mostly inoperable, lighting was grossly insufficient, and LED lights do not make for "Cozy". Ever. »

« Such a lovely, peaceful, relaxing, private location with gorgeous views of the water and surrounding woods in a clean, uncluttered, spacious, airy-but-cozy cabin with oodles of natural light. The photos really do not do it justice, it's even more beautiful in person! The host was fantastic, friendly, helpful and just the right amount of communication and always responded to messages quickly! »

« The cabin was great. Very nicely decorated in the Bear theme and everything was in perfect condition. Good location to the local Marinas, Food Lion and Restaurants. Host was very responsive and even gave early access. Parking was easy, had a Bass Boat and little issues backing it into the driveway. Nice Garage available to park in. Just a great experience. »
