"First time I have stayed at this property. It was as good as my previous experience with this chain. It is a perfect location if you are going to a concert across the street at the coliseum. It’s like a five minute walk! The staff is very friendly, as well."

"We were disappointed to see the pool was closed due to being shut down by the state for lack of “No Diving” signs. We were told the sign would be delivered the next day. The next morning we were told it would be in the next hour. We went out and did our sightseeing for the day and came back at 5 pm to hear pool was still not open. Other than that, our room was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay."

"The views are breathtaking. It’s a perfect blend of history with beautiful gardens. The historians at Middleton did such a great job to honor and share past stories, making this vacation not only a relaxing one, but also interesting. We enjoyed the weather greatly, the nightly snacks and drinks were a great addition- what a way to share a sunset on our anniversary trip! We might not be back right away, but will tell others to visit- 100% recommend as a relaxing adult getaway."

"My mattress was caved in so that I felt like I was in a hole! Terrible. But it was late and I was tired so I moved to the other bed. I tried to reach out to a manager in the morning but got no response. Also in the room above mine, someone was pacing (with boots on?) Until late. Not good sound insulation."

"Although the property was older it was clean , I'll give it that. However when we arrived the pool was closed ,( which was a big part of what hotel we chose ). We were told the 1st day it was a chemical issue and should be open the next day , which did not happen . The second day we were told by maintenance definatly by morning, we had left early that morning so before we returned later that night a called the 888 number to see if the pool had reopened. The representative scoffted at me and said he highly doubted it , it had been closed for weeks and they didn't know when it would reopen . We had decided to stay a few extra days in SC to visit family but we went 2 hotels down to the Hilton spark. What a huge difference spend the extra 20$ a night you won't regret it, awesome place 2 stay. Also the breakfast was horrible but free soooo , can't complain to much . When we went 2 checkout I had expressed my dismay to the lady at the front desk but she didn't seem to care and was very dismissive and even had a side conversation with a younger girl while I was trying to speak with her . Very rude , needless to say we will never return to this establishment . PS ... If you got back late there parking lot was always full, maybe because of the bar and 2 of the 3 nights police were in the parkg lot with spot lights looking around for someone or something."

"After checking in, we found dirty socks left in the room and a used coffee pack in the coffee pot, so we don’t think the room was really cleaned. There was no ice in the hotel because one machine was broken and the other was empty. While the general manager was very nice, the rest of the staff were rude and not interested in helping guests. We decided to leave at 6 am, and there were no baggage carts anywhere. Breakfast was barely edible the first day and totally inedible the second day. Breakfast was all pre-packaged junk food. It is our first time at a Fairfield and definitely our last. Motel 6 would have been better than this dump."
