Welcome to Las Palomas, a property like no other on Galveston Island. Sitting on a 13 acre estate, this 7,400 sq ft home features a private pool, fishing pond, two outdoor fire pits, a huge game room, billiards room, chefs kitchen, and 14ft ceilings that make the space feel palatial. With 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms there’s plenty of space for the whole family.

● Beach access: Less than a 5 minute drive from multiple west-end beach access points.
● Private pool: This home features a large, in-ground pool ranging from 4ft - 6ft deep.
● Rent BeachBox: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.
● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.
● Pet Policy: 3 pets are allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors.
● Large Groups: We love hosting church groups and large family gatherings, however groups over the size of 16 guests must be approved prior to booking.
● Parking: There is room for up to 8 cars on the side and front of the home.
You’ll know you’ve arrived in paradise when you hit the palm lined driveway of Las Palomas. The entry foyer leads to the massive living room with multiple seating areas, a bar and billiards room. The back wall is lined with windows facing the beautiful private pool and patio, filling the space with natural light. The study off the living room features beautiful floor to ceiling wood accent walls and has a premium leather queen sleeper sofa facing a large TV. There’s also a half bath next to the bar. A large dining room with a gorgeous chandelier and table lead to the kitchen.
The chef`s kitchen is a dream kitchen for any food lover. With top of the line stainless steel appliances, a commercial grade refrigerator, and extensive countertop space, this fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. There’s a small seating area with a TV off the kitchen, and large windows looking out towards the patio and pool. There’s a full bathroom, laundry room and garage converted to game room off the kitchen. This massive game room will be an instant hit with your group. Three custom twin over full bunk beds line the back wall. There’s a TV and seating area, foosball, ping pong table, and arcade games and stairs that lead up to a hideout bedroom with two queen beds.
Down the hallway from the kitchen are two bedrooms and a shared jack and jill bathroom. The first bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two queen beds. Each bedroom is attached to a bathroom with a toilet and vanity, with a shared standing shower and soaking tub in between.
The master suite has an entire wing of the house off the living room. There’s a private sitting area in the bedroom facing the TV, a huge walk-in closet and a glass door leading out to the pool and patio. The spa-like bathroom features a soaking tub, giant step in shower and two toilets, with a vanity/makeup area. A small bunk room is next door with a full over full bunk bed.

If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm. - The homeowner`s routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. They will not need to access the home but will access the yard. - Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

The bathrooms need updates. There were flies in our bathroom, and a stale smell. The living area is large and so were the dinning and kitchen. These were spacious and comfortable to hold 18 of us, but the pool was not ready for use.

Communication with prop mngt was good but feel they need to visit property every once in while to see how their cleaning svc is. Propane was out on the fire place the first night but was replaced the following day. Small details that need to be taken care of. Rubber seals in kitchen sinks need replacement, don’t need to see exposed disposal. FYI…fridge in kitchen is a freezer!! Learned the hard way, trash can in kitchen needs replacement. Had to manually lift lid. No ceiling fans, the two box fans were jacked. One was super loud the other was missing the prongs on the power cord. Second story bedroom is super hot when the heater was on. I’m sure this house is great during the summer! Was promised these issue would be taken care of but unfortunate we had to deal with it. We will not be renting this property again but if they take care of these missed opportunities it’s a great place.

The place itself was one of the nicest places i have ever seen. Beautiful home. Nice pool table and ping pong table. We had a Christmas gathering and the entire family was floored by how beautiful it was. The owners even decorated the living room and entrance with Christmas trees and decorations which was a nice touch.When i say do not underestimate the mosquitos, i mean serious business. Do not forget the mosquito spray. The heated pool was not heated when we arrived. But the owners called a maintenance man out on Christmas eve to fix it. Very generous of them. He didn't fix it, we had to later but that was no fault of the owners or beachbox. Once the pool heated up the next day it was awesome. The hot tub is for looks only. The jets are not an offered amenity is what i was told. Overall we will definitely be trying to stay here in the future and had a great experience

A True Galveston Gem!We iust returned from the most unforgettable stay at Las Palomas and we are already planning our next trip back! The house was not cleaned very well. There were dead bugs in the kitchen. The carpets looked awful with very nasty looking stains everywhere. Everything from the appliances in the kitchen to the pool table looked pretty heavily used and in need of maintenance. The worst part was trying to contact the management about an exterior door that would not lock. The first night was several hours back-and-forth via the app chatting tool. I had to leave the house unsecured. We had a group of 12 people and had gone out to dinner with all of our belongings in the house, but with no way to lock it. They would not respond via a call or a more immediate means of communication to address the problem. They finally agreed to send a maintenance person on the second day after I kept insisting but first required that I send photos of the door lock that wasn’t functioning. They’ve then replied with a video link on how to lock the door acting as if I didn’t know how a basic door locked functioned. Overall, I will not be staying here again nor recommending anyone else too.

Clean and nice place to stay. Somewhat short on kitchen equipment and funny smell in one of the showers, but overall a good experience. Keys are difficult to open and lock up and several back doors are also very difficult to lock.

We had an awesome time in the hugE beautiful housE that needs some serious maintenance ie …all doors were hard to lock & unlock,all toilets unsteady plus slow to flush, kitchen NOT fully stocked with an industrial gas oven/stove scary to operate, (thankful that Lance brought in a microwave replacement & 2 2 plate electric burners for cooking)Garbage cans loaded down from last group leaving maggots at the gate, gator in the pond— no fish, dead rats by pool, area around pool w/ food scraps like chicken bones near play scape, yard well mowed but bushes over grown plus ivy at front porch growing thru door into the house entry making lock box hard to access.

Senior Trip
This property was perfect for our group of 12 graduated seniors (17 total people). The ability to stay together in a 1.6 million house that met all of our needs was priceless. They swimming pool and the fire pit were popular hang out spots for the group. The patio furniture is really nice and sturdy. The kitchen is huge. Huge. We enjoyed the large refrigerator and the ice machine in the bar area. Our group was just able to fit around the large dining room table with additional chairs pulled up. These moments were my favorite of the whole trip. The beds were comfy and the extras were nice too: the pool table, ping pong table, the video game, all the smart TVs. There has been some wear and tear on the house from previous guests, but that's to be expected, I'm sure-- nothing that changed our attitude about our stay. Items to remember, as with all vacation rentals, if you want more towels, bring them: bath, pool, kitchen, dish rags, hand towels, etc. And one peculiar note about the kitchen: there are at least 5 colanders but 0 storage bowls or mixing bowls. If you're planning on a lot of scratch cooking, bring bowls. Overall, we loved this place. We would definitely return given the chance.

Pictures do not show back of property that has broken down wooden fence and huge piles of dead brush. Brush is full of fire ants that carry over into yard. Also snakes in brush! Hot tub and waterfall not working. Carpets are filthy. Minimal amount of amenities. Half of kitchen appliances did not work. Disappointed for the amount of money spent.
