The initial impression was okay, but it quickly changed when they locked the hotel and locked me out in the middle of the night with no sign or prior notice. The phone rang multiple times without anyone answering. While I appreciate that they extended my stay upon my request, which I paid for, I was hurried to pay, as if I were running away, and they woke me up in the middle of the night. I already provided my card as a guarantor, so running up to my room to wake me up from sleep was totally uncalled for. Yet the overall service was average. Breakfast is charged per room at every other hotel, but they insisted on charging per head even though breakfast was used only once.

Lovely clean hotel with spacious rooms. Staff were super pleasant and helpful. Central to all the sites in Madrid and metro station at the door.

We loved our stay. It was clean, simple, beautiful, quiet, and just what we needed. Everyone was so kind and helpful! Yay! We definitely recommend! ❤️

Great helpful service, great location, great breakfast! We would definitely stately stay here again. The front desk helped us with dinner reservations, tours, and gave us a free upgrade. Overall a very positive experience!

I stayed at Hotel Regina and this was honestly one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked the VIP option through Expedia, but the room they gave me was tiny, basic, and nothing close to what I paid for. I could hear every single person walking and talking in the hallway like they were inside my room. Zero sound insulation, zero comfort. Early in the morning the hotel sounded like a construction site. Drilling, banging, workers talking loudly — I recorded videos and audio because the noise was unbelievable. But when Expedia contacted the hotel, they simply denied everything and said there was “no remodeling.” I don’t understand how a hotel can lie so confidently when the noise is literally happening inside their building. To make things worse, at check‑in they tried to upsell me €150 for a “better room,” and when I refused, they downgraded me to a basic room instead of the VIP room I actually booked. The whole stay felt disrespectful, dishonest, and stressful from beginning to end. If you expect honesty, quiet, or a room that matches what you paid for, avoid this place. I’m sharing my videos and recordings so people can see exactly what happened and don’t get fooled the way I did.
