« Chris and Donna are gracious hosts. Checked on us after a snow storm and we were cleared out quickly by their plow service. The cabin was clean, cozy with stunning views. The notes around the house were so helpful too. It was so peaceful. We loved our early morning walks around the property with our dog Ziggy. We loved how welcomed he was in the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. The wood stove was amazing and having the wood split and stacked was great!We are already figuring out...

« I had such a sweet and peaceful stay in the yurt! Felt immediately at home and comfortable. Best sleep I've had in weeks, so quiet in the woods there. The space was very tidy and clean and clearly well maintained. Highly recommend :) »

« Second time there, a very beautiful, clean place, well stocked. We used the kitchen and bedrooms, not the showers, but there was ample hot water for dishes. The fire pit was an added bonus, and there is always plenty of wood in the shed. Would definately go again. »

« We had a great wintertime getaway. The pellet stove kept us cozy while we played games, watched some shows, watched some snow fall, and disconnected for the weekend. We bought groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our seclusion. The shower is small, but water warmed up quickly and was very comfortable. Would love to stay here again. »

« The “shack” was cozy and wonderfullly appointed. It had all the comforts of home. Our host(s) were very responsive to all our queries and would reply within a short time. The location, very close to Brattleboro and close to great skiing, is another point of recommendation.We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the River Shack wholeheartedly! »
