Located by the charming villages of Williamsville and Newfane, 12 miles from Mount Snow, and right on the crystal clear Rock River. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway, a family vacation and quality times with good friends. Now also with outdoor hot tub with views of mountains, river and the wide, open sky above. The cabin is tastefully modernized by Danish builder, and the open concept kitchen, dining room, and living room with rows of huge, panoramic windows offers amazing views of mountains and front row for leaf peeping. The 18 acre property is located on the Rock River, at the end of a dirt road. The property offers opportunity for scenic snowshoeing and hiking. We provide the snow shoes. The property has about a mile of river frontage with access to the clear and refreshing water of the Rock River. In the summer, private dips in the river are just a short stroll from the house. Additionally, you'll find several really nice swimming holes in the area. Quiet, peaceful, lovely, romantic... come stay for two nights or several weeks. As a Dane, I take cleanliness very seriously. We are always block off a full day between reservations to do a deep cleaning of the cabin and the hot tub. To help us mitigate the extra cost of this deep cleaning, we have raised the cleaning fee to $75\. We appreciate your understanding. More details about the cabin and the outdoors area: There are to two bedrooms (one with a queen and one with two twin beds) and one bathroom. Also, a big open concept living room/dining room and kitchen with panoramic views of mountains and the river. In the basement, guest have access to the laundry room with a washing machine, a dryer and a drying rack. Outside, there are two decks with amazing views. The one, sits a dining table and chairs. The other, sits the hot tub, which comfortably fits four people, as well as a couple of chairs. In the yard, next to the cabin, is a hammock, some lounge chairs and a fire pit with four Adirondack chairs. This property is absolutely fantastic. Our host was an excellent communicator throughout the process. From booking to check out, he was helpful, responsive, and made sure we had all the information we needed every step of the way. Beautiful inside and out, Lasse’s cabin is peaceful, well kept, and perched on a mountainside overlooking a river and plot of land that will make all your wild Vermont dreams come true. I am a mountain lover and if you are too, this is your place! If you have the chance to stay in Southern Vermont and want a place that is in the woods surrounded by so much of nature's beauty, while also being close enough to a vibrant town and other smaller quaint towns, look no further! Lasse, the owner, is wonderfully attentive and so willing to answer any questions and provide suggestions of places to explore and eat. His instructions were super clear and he was very communicative which I find so helpful. The cabin itself was very comfortable for my fiance and me. We dined in restaurants nearly every day we were there so we did not really use the kitchen except to reheat some food in the oven and stovetop, but the kitchen would have been perfect for us to prepare any homecooked meals with its gas stove, oven, and dishwasher. The bathroom was beautiful, modern, and spacious. The upstairs bedroom also had plenty of space for us to access our belongings and even hang many clothes in the closet. My favorite parts of the property were the views and access to Rock River. The amount of windows allowed breathtaking views of the sunrise in the main bedroom and downstairs. The deck, though we did not get to sit and enjoy it too much because it was either too cold or rainy because it was mid-November, provided a beautiful way to connect with your surroundings of the woods, mountains, and the river. Access to the trail to the river is right next to the house which was super convenient and private. Lasse really keeps this home and property so clean, which we both appreciate! We are definitely planning on going back again in the near future. ##### Jacqueline C. The kitchen is very well equipped. The setting is very private, and the views from the picture windows are stunning. You are definitely off the beaten path here, and have left the world behind.
