"Enjoyed the bunkhouse. The owners have provided a ranch bunkhouse experience, so do not expect this will be a fancy rental! But if you are aiming for somewhere between the higher prices in the area and camping, this place could be it. Kristin has done a great job of balancing the essentials. Two comfy beds (one of which is a bunkbed), plenty of appliances for a farm breakfast (including an outdoor barbecue grill), a healthy shower, and a fun VHS selection make for the kind of stay that is simple, peaceful and enables you to learn a bit more sbout this part of Oregon."

"If you want the sound of real rushing water to fall asleep by, come to River Peace. Indoors or on the screened porch or on the deck, the McKenzie river is always with you. The kitchen is new and the mini split was welcome on one 100 degree day, while the traditional wood walls and built ins evoke a well loved family heirloom. We spent our time there outdoors listening to the river…great communication with the proprietors and easy check-in and out procedures.."

"I’ve stayed here many times because I am local and enjoy using their pool but their breakfast is equally phenomenal. My rooms are always super clean and very comfortable (although the beds are very high which could be problematic for shorter guests or ones with physical disabilities). The restaurant always smells wonderful and I’d decided on this trip that I’d try it but, they were closed on Sunday so hopefully will be open the next time I visit. The Japanese garden is wonderful and make sure to buy a 50 cent cup of koi food, the fish will love you for it! There is no better way to start, or, wind down a day than a walk through the garden. The whole area around the hotel is safe and extremely walkable; restaurants, a few big box stores and boutiques are a very short drive away. This is truly a gem in the area."

"Lovely place. Right at waters edge and rockers on the large deck. Nice to have 2 Adirondack chairs in the sun when you want the warmth. Wish it wasn't more expensive than other cabins next door. "
