"We had a great stay! House is at the edge of the Black Butte property so very private. Great layout, comfortable beds, clean, & large hot tub. Kitchen well stocked. We had 2 issues that could easily be resolved. 1) The house was set to 55 degrees & took almost the whole 1st night to come up to temp. We made a fire in the beautiful living room so was ok. 2) I asked for a late check out because my group sleeps late & was daylight savings- never heard back from management until scolded that we were late."

"Our group loved this home and its proximity to the Spa. The house was very clean, updated, and appropriate for our need to be both separate and together. The sunken living room has cozy fireplace seating where we had great conversations. The kitchen table area feels like you are in a treehouse so it brings a playful vibe to sharing a meal. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our stay started with a nice warm home to walk into, and the candy in the wine glasses on the countertop was a REALLY nice touch. The kitchen was equipped with a lot of pots & pans that made making our Thanksgiving prime rib a BIG success. The location was, of course, superb, being that it was in Black Butte. Once heated properly, The hot tub was very enjoyable, except that we couldn't figure out the jets to run both sides with pressure, or it only worked one side or the other. The place was clean, and we felt very comfortable with the furniture, too. The cleaning staff could only clean under furniture more often and knock down the cobwebs from the ceiling. Our dog sniffed out some old treats under the chair closest to the bathroom/master bedroom, and once we moved it, we noticed how much dust & dust bunnies were under there. We wanted to come back to this place for New Year's but saw it was booked. We'll keep trying to return to this cabin as we had such a wonderful and relaxing time there. Thanks again for hosting us."

"My youngest son was about to head off for school and wanted to do something special with friends and family. He wanted to go camping in the coast so I did what any parent would do: I surprised him and his friends with this wonderful cabin in Black Butte Ranch! As we headed east, I had to field a lot of questions during the four hour drive. I held my tongue until we got to the entrance of the ranch. “Surprise!” No one said a word. Uh oh. Turns out the silence was from shock. Two friends thought Black Butte Ranch was a myth; legendary if you will. I followed the instructions given to me by the host. It sounded complex but in actuality, it was super simple and smooth. We go through the gate and make the 5m drive to the home. As we got closer, the car filled with the familiar scent of warm pine needles baking in the sun. As we turned off the street and onto the paved driveway, I’m pretty sure all four of us in the car said “Nooo waayyy!” I have never seen so many doors fly open as the group swarmed the house, pointing to the features and soaking up seats on the front porch. As I opened the door, three eager young-adults nearly trampled me as they made their way inside. The moment I saw the inside, I shouted “shoes off!” It may not be the house policy but it’s mine. It’s that kind of place. As I entered, I nearly passed the amazing greeting left by the hosts. Immediately, my first impression was stamped: The home and the hosts are top notch."
