Fontainhas Vacation Packages

This was our second time staying at this hotel, and on both occasions we booked a sea view studio. During our first stay, we were given a very spacious room, which was great, but the sea view was disappointing. The balcony itself didn’t overlook the sea, and the only view was through a small window on the kitchen side, which wasn’t what we expected when booking a sea view studio. On our second stay, the situation was the opposite. We had a beautiful balcony with a gorgeous sea view, which was exactly what we had hoped for, but the room itself was much smaller and felt quite cramped compared to our previous stay. Check-in was straightforward and efficient, and the staff were very helpful in accommodating an early check-in, which we really appreciated after travelling. There are a couple of areas where the hotel could improve. The swimming pool is indoor only and feels quite dated, so it would benefit from some refurbishment. Housekeeping was also inconsistent during our stay. The maids either arrived very early in the morning or didn’t come at all, and they were often quite noisy in the corridors. Overall, we’ve had mixed experiences across our two stays. The sea views, friendly service, and easy check-in are definite positives, but there are some inconsistencies with the rooms and housekeeping, and the pool could do with updating.

Great culture - Friendly, approachable and helpful staff. Loved the amenities. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Dinner buffet also excellent, well stocked and excited.
