Fluvanna County Vacation Packages

We occupied a 2 bedroom cabin and liked the privacy and ability to relax in the living area and outside deck. However, we had to call twice to get the HVAC thermostat fixed, had no wifi, the landline phone had no dial tone, and the bedrooms were strangely furnished. The beds were comfy and the linens very high quality. However, there was no mirror in the primary bedroom, two small desk-type lamps on the nightstands and no other source of light in the dark primary room. In both bedrooms, a large TV monopolized the dresser top so there was no room for our own belongings. The bathroom had only one towel rod and no other place for the towels and wash cloths for 4 adults and no suitable place in the bedrooms either. Linens aren't replaced daily so we had a wet problem to deal with. Reception for the tvs was very poor. All in all, it seemed there were some poorly thought out details that need attention in order to make this a consistently high quality comfortable experience. We did not use the sports or other amenities but the grounds were lovely, as was the main Lodge.

Clean and pleasant. No Parking at the property and check on was slow. But staff very nice.

I would’ve given this hotel five stars, had I been charged their normal rack rates. It’s brand new, beautiful, and has an extremely friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately, at nearly $1000 per night on graduation weekend, it raises the expectations and the hotel does not meet that price category of property. It’s a clearly cashing in on a captive audience but seems to be a common theme in the area. That said, as long as you avoid the gauging times, this is an excellent hotel near UVA.

The desk staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was standard fare, but my niece was thrilled with the pancake maker, but disappointed the last day because they ran out of pancake batter early. She did manage to get one silver dollar sized one. Several items seemed to run short on Sunday and weren't replenished.
