We stayed at Hotel Masaccio for three nights during our visit to Florence. It is walkable to all of the sites. But if you’d rather not walk, the number 12 bus is right in front of the hotel and the number 11 bus will bring you back. We found the hotel to be charming, with a nice little dining area and balcony. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most of all it is a very affordable option and extremely convenient. I highly recommend the Hotel Masaccio.

After being robbed in Rome and waiting to get our temporary passport, we came to Florence and was welcomed with details of local attractions and transportation tip and basically everything in walking distance. Can’t be better stay in center of Florence and … be safe. At US consulate, there were people being robbed and their safe and luggage being took away with all the money and passports… this is a home away from home with sense of secure and extremely clean and convenient. We extended our stay again and again :)

Lovely little room, compact but everything we needed with private short and toilet. 10/15 minute walk into the centre. We had a room on the front of the hotel so on the main road, a little noisy but didn't notice anything when wore earplugs. Staff were really friendly and helpful, we would stay again.

I spent only 2 nights here and what I saw of the area was quiet safe and friendly. It seemed to be an old part of town away from the tourist haunts. The lady manager and daughter and staff were very helpful. No lift and room in the top floor was a little inconvenient but overall a very nice stay.

The location is perfect, walking distance to everything and quiet to sleep in. The room is very comfortable and has a sink. The bathroom is shared with (maybe) just one other room but in 3 days I never saw it busy and it was always spotless. The staff is very nice and provided great advice on the city. There are stairs (like in many places in Europe) so not ideal when carrying very heavy suitcases, but totally doable. Breakfast is overlooking a beautiful patio that the building has in the lower stage, although there is a delicious coffee shop very nearby. I recommend it based on the experience and the price range for the city, again, perfect location.

The hotel manager was very pleasant, supportive and helpful eg when I couldn’t open the lock to my luggage. As described there was a shower and basin in the room but shared toilet (which also had a sink n shower cubicle). The busy road was straight outside the room’s high up window. Connection to the railway station via bus is good. The walk into the centre of Florence takes say 20 minutes.

Nice stay if you're staying only one night. If going in the summer, pay extra and get a hotel with AC. A fan was given, I was still sweating at night. This place might be ok in the winter , hard to sleep in the summer. No cafe places around, so difficult trying to find coffee in the morning. Even though we didn't leave door open for long the mosquitoes still got into the room. Staff was every helpful and room was clean. As an overweight American around 190 pounds, bathroom was extremely extremely small! Spend extra get a hotel with AC and within the main center.

Budget hotel with parking facilities if you travel by car. But a very busy street without any directly pleasant restaurants in the immediate area. Walking distance to the center, approx. 20 minutes. Offers a simple breakfast for 6 euros, which can be considered affordable. There is no AC, which is also stated in the description, but it was borderline too hot now in September, so I would not stay there during the summer. The shower doors don't close tightly at the bottom and there was a big puddle on the floor outside every time you showered. I would not choose this hotel again.

Nice basic clean room with double and single bed, great value, 10 min walk from centre of city, down straight road, breakfast available at 6 euros but I prefered to eat in the town, nice en-suite, quiet area, good for solo travellers

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. A 20 minute walk to town or a bus ride to basically anywhere. My only complaint is the AC was quite loud and kept me up at night.

The property was a bit dated and smaller than the pictures. There was a shared bathroom for one floor, which was kept relatively clean. The location was ideal; only a 20 minute walk into central Florence. Staff were really friendly and helpful!

Room was nice, the windows are bit sealed when closed so it sounds like the cars in your room especially at night which makes it hard to sleep, bathroom was decent size, bed was comfy
