Quality Inn & Suites Sun Prairie Madison East

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel was clean and the staff was working hard. Effective was pleasant room was clean"

Cambria Hotel Madison East

8/10 Good

"We had some little inconveniences, nothing major, but that is why I gave a rating of good as opposed to Excellent. One of the television clickers needs new batteries, our toilet got clogged, our bathroom water never got cold (for brushing our teeth, or simply drinking a glass of water). We liked the two separate rooms. But the bathroom floor and shower caddies of shampoo, etc. needed to be cleaned better. It is always rather unsavory to find hair on the bathroom floor or in the shower. I needed to wipe something off of the main living area floor, and it appeared to not be mopped in awhile. You have to pay $10.00 for breakfast (at least on Sundays), so we were rather disappointed. Similarly, the price I was quoted (through Hotels.com) was not what we were charged. I'm thinking it was because there was a Badger home football game, and the cost was like $270 per night which was much more than was budgeted. I never saw a caveat printed that suggested that certain weekends when there were home football games would cost quite a bit more. I'm not sure what can be done, but please check the price guarantee on game weekends."

Tru By Hilton Madison East

10/10 Excellent

"This was my second time staying here. I brought my family for the Badger Game. We had two rooms and the front desk staff was wonderful and able to get our rooms right across from each other. The breakfast is excellent. Best eggs I've ever had at a hotel breakfast. Grandsons loved the waffles and pancakes. The pool area was clean. Grandsons also enjoyed the pool table. Lots of shopping and dining options in the area and easily accessible off the interstate. Will definitely be our go to hotel when in Madison."

PrimeStay Extended Suites by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is going to be renovated in December, so everything wasn’t in top shape. The grounds were not kept up, there were building materials in the form of a pallet of pavers right as you pull into the parking lot. Next to that was an awful, large pile of landscaping debris smack dab in the middle of the lawn. The hotel common areas were in acceptable condition, however the room was dated. The a/c was non operational, so there was a large portable unit next to the bed which made it difficult to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The vent hose had gaps and let in cold air, which was uncomfortable. The room was dated, but was comfortable as far as the furniture except the bed which was mushy. With the understanding that a renovation is in the works, I found it acceptable and plan to stay there again after said renovations are completed. I found the location and proximity to a good restaurant very favorable and the highway noise was minimal. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family."
