Top Estate Rattan Hotel Reviews

The Waves at Cane Bay

The Waves at Cane Bay

8/10 Good
"The location was gorgeous!! And the view from our deck like being on the ocean. The beach down the road was amazing. However the restaurant in sight was very expensive and the sunset grille was not in service except for on Saturday night. Luckily The Landing right down the street provided great food at a fair price! And the breakfast food truck also good. The rooms while cool looking are not terribly functional, the bed pillows so soft that they sunk into the bed frames and the shower leaks. So some maintenance would be a good idea. Overall a very good trip!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Estate Rattan?
The best area to stay in Estate Rattan is along the north-central coast, particularly around the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve.

This area is generally known for its beautiful coastline, proximity to natural attractions, and a good balance of relaxation and activities. It offers convenient access to both Christiansted and Frederiksted, the island's two main towns, without being directly in the hustle and bustle. The main roads through this area, such as North Shore Road (Route 80) and Salt River Road (Route 801), connect various points of interest.

Couples looking for a relaxing holiday with opportunities for outdoor activities will find this area particularly appealing. You're close to stunning beaches like Cane Bay, known for its excellent snorkelling and diving, and the Salt River Bay offers kayaking and paddleboarding through mangroves. Hotels here often provide a more secluded experience with direct beach access or ocean views.

For families, staying near the Salt River Bay area is also a good option. The natural preserve provides educational opportunities and easy access to gentle waters suitable for younger swimmers.

This makes it great for enjoying the beautiful beaches, exploring the island's natural attractions, or simply relaxing by the pool. The clear skies and gentle breezes create an inclusive setting for a stress-free holiday.

This period is particularly suitable for couples looking for a romantic escape or those planning an active holiday. You'll find excellent conditions for snorkelling, diving, sailing, and hiking.
