Find a Bed and Breakfast in Emerald Bay from CA $113

"Margaritaville was an excellent value for the money and the location was perfect. Staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. My complaints are few...but important to mention to fellow travelers. Upon arrival, you are welcomed by an unexpected $50 a night parking fee. I've been fortunate in my life and am fairly well off financially, but I felt like this was a big 'gotcha'. I haven't been to the US in several years, so maybe I'm out of touch, but $50 to park seems egregious. I can picture the corporate officers sitting around the table laughing at their so-called "guests". Then, they tack on a Resort Fee. How about just raising the price of the rooms so you're not constantly feeling like you're being nickle and dimed? In the elevator on the way up to the room, we heard another couple joking about whether there would be an additional charge to unlock their door. The other complaint is that the sound insulation in the rooms is almost non-existent. The suits themselves are fantastic, but if you get a room with an adjoining door, you will hear every sound from your neighbors. Minor complaints aside, it turned out to be a good value and nice place to stay. Skip the dismal breakfast buffet. "

"Room was ok. Staff was ok. We checked in and then realized she didnt tell us how to get to our rooms. My card was to be changed at check in but the staff didnt update it so I was charged for 3 nights by mistake. Theres a fee if you try to check-in early, parking each day, resort fee for each day and holding fee for each day. Breakfast was good. We booked here for the indoor pool but it was closed two days before our check in. It was just a hot mess for our first time being there. "

"You cannot beat the location. The hotel is older, and somewhat loud while trying to sleep, but we loved the huge sliding glass door overlooking the lake. Overall, it was a great place to stay "

"We stayed on the 8th floor and were told by staff that the nugget is between seasons and adjusting heating and cooling which would take 1 month, so the room ac/heat was adjusting making me sweat in my sleep or cold and shivering. The staff at the sportsbook at the betting table were not that pleasant. The games seem to be focused on slot machines and the table minimums have gone up to play any of them. Since there was no snow, the choice for activities were gambling or restaurants. "

"Fantastic location within walking or shuttle distance to Heavenly Ski resort. Amazingly comfortable king size beds and new linens. Rooms were adjoining with connecting hallway , making it great for families. Stunning views of the ponderosa pines and Sierra mountains. Club lounge and jacuzzi amenities were a huge plus for our kiddo as skiing was non existent this 2026 Spring Break. Pillows and blankets on the living room sectional would have been a nice touch. Room service every 3 rather than 4 days also would have made the stay more enjoyable. And we could not figure out if the periodical loud banging through the day and early morning was metal trash cans on the 3rd floor above us. Please fix the bathroom vents."
