Found this tiny lily pad filled body of water following the trail down to Lake Aloha. My trek was a 12mile round trip hike starting at Echo Lakes and passing 4 lakes (Lower Echo, Upper Echo, Tamarack and Lucille) before even setting eyes on Aloha. Can definitely be a workout -- a lot of loose rock trail! But worth the views. While the cabin is charmingly rustic, it was not lacking in modern comforts. The heating worked well. Kitchen was well-appointed. Beds were cozy. Shower pressure was strong. Hot tub was perfect. There was one problem that came up at the beginning of our reservation but Renee handled it perfectly and didn’t allow it to ruin our stay.
