El Alcázar Vacation Packages

Now I understand why this hotel has such high ratings! The staff were friendly, and the facilities were clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a little variety each day. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and that was excellent as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

The location of this hotel inside the Parque Nacional sis unbeatable. You go outside the hotel directly to the two senderos to Watch the Cararatas, a wonder of the world. The hotel shows its age though; for example air condicioner is noisy and elevators are slow and cranky. Service at the breakfast room is uneven, with some waiters showing inexperience,Breakfast buffet is boring. The Parillafor dinner is very good and again, waiters were not attentive enough in my opinion. But, still, there is not better option for visiting Iguazú Cararatas.

The hotel is set in the most beautiful grounds and our welcome was warm. It was great to have breakfast and dinner included in the price; the buffet style food was of a good quality, although only just warm but there was plenty of choice. The staff were attentive and it was lovely to have a linen table cloth and napkin at dinner. We were disappointed with the BBQ that we paid extra for on the second night. The meat was dry, probably reheated from the previous service; however, when we pointed this out to the waiter he was quick to replace it with freshly cooked meat, which was delicious. The hotel very kindly allowed a late check-out and arranged for a taxi to the airport. The bedroom was fine, with a jacuzzi bath, robes and flip flops for the spa (which we didn't use). The only disappointing thing was the absence of tea/coffee facilities in the room.

The property is very nice, located practically in the jungle. The breakfast is varied and abundant and staff is very kind and helpful. Property is well kept but it needs updating a bit.
