"We enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Beach Resort. It was clean and had tons of storage space, comfortable bed, cute retro decor, ceiling fan, hot shower, large refrigerator, right on the beautiful white sand beach. It was only about a block away from the Sunrunner bus stop so public transportation is easy. It was perfect for our first trip to St Pete's Beach. "

"Our stay at Rumfish was awesome! Our room was very clean and newly renovated. We were right outside one of the pools and the hot tub which was a bonus. Loved that the room key was actually a wristband, that was super handy. Being steps from the beach was our main reason for booking and having beach loungers provided was the best. We didn’t have to worry about getting up at the crack of dawn to fight the crowds in order to get spots either, there was more than plenty of for all the guests who were on the beach. There are beach umbrellas available also but unfortunately it was windy while we were there so they took them down which was a bummer because the sun still got pretty hot. There were plenty of activities and dining options so you don’t even have to leave the resort once you check in. My only slight complaint is that when we checked in none of the amenities were explained to us or how to access them. For instance, it says there are paddle boats, nobody said what or where the boats were or while we were lounging on the beach I noticed another guest had a drink being delivered to her from one of the bars, didn’t know that was an option or how we could order a drink to be delivered to us on the beach like that. Besides that our stay was great and we would definitely book again! "

"Please request to NOT be on the south side Jimmy Bs rooms. We had a lovely view of 5 port-a-potties!!! At least get creative people and put some lattice up with colorful vines or something to hide this. On another note, we were traveling with friends. When we arrived, they told us to return at 4 for check-in. We asked why the don’t notify us when the room is ready and the front desk lady said “we don’t do this.” Our friends got a call when their room was ready, so I asked another front desk person (the lady was not there) why we were miss-informed. I was told, “I don’t know.” Overall, the interior of the room was ok, but hair and sand in the bathroom shower and on floor."

"Family friendly, great beach, lots to do for all ages, staff are great, clean property. Worth getting a gulf view to have coffee overlooking the beach. Nice kitchen in room, good pools, lots of kids so if you are looking for a quiet place, this isn’t it! Nice gym. Beach is gorgeous with umbrellas and chairs free for guests. Big water slide for guests to use on the beach. Negatives: No cash use so every machine defaults to a 20% tip. Your teen gets dipping dots for $7 themselves and the person expects a 20% tip. It gets really old after a week. You go and get something yourself and the person expects a tip. There are a few buttons to figure out how to leave zero but the person watches you and it’s uncomfortable. Other than that, we had a perfect time there! It’s a great place with a kid. "

"Everything was perfect! The Beach view room with huge balcony, the beach chairs and umbrella, the pool and pool bar. We especially loved the Strawberry daiquiris from the pool bar and Quesadillas. The ENTIRE STAFF was Fabulous from the front desk, bar, beach and housekeeping. "

"Our stay at the Sirata was disappointing. Our room was nice and mostly clean. However, the grounds and outdoor spaces were considerably less numerous and less impressive than the pictures indicate. There is a construction project going on that blocks the view of the ocean from most of the resort spaces. The main pool, restaurant, and sitting area has a view of a parking lot on one side and a black construction fence on the other. The other pool pictured with a fire pit is accessed through a parking lot and construction. This pool bar closed at 4:00 each day and the staff packed up the couch cushions when they left. The fire pit was never lit despite cool evening temperatures. There is a game room. It is a few arcade games in an otherwise unfurnished room. The echoing noise from the games was so intense we couldn’t stay and play. I probably could have looked past the construction inconveniences, but this hotel also makes you rent beach loungers. This policy ads a layer of planning and family agreement that makes a vacation with older kids so much less enjoyable. There is no option to go to the beach for a while and then to the pool without feeling like it was money wasted. The poor vibe meant that we spent our evenings at a neighboring hotel instead. I definitely feel misled by the Expedia pictures and reviews. There is no “resort” feeling. It was much more like a roadside inn with updated rooms. Hilton should to better during this renovation."
