i usually have a pleasant enough stay … but this particular one wasn’t that great: 1) the desk person was obviously pissed i came in when i did to check in. his face said it all when he asked what i needed and i responded with “Hi, im checking.” he rolled his eyes and begrudgingly came out of the back. I immediately returned the energy with the questions he asked. He noticed and went back to his “desk clerk” voice. 2) the room smelled like weed. like literally someone had just smoked and left. i turned the airCon on and it sort of dissipated, still lingered though. 3) there was someones hair all over the restroom, pretty obvious it was the housekeeper or the housekeeper didnt see it… long strands of hair, everywhere, on the toilet lid, the toilet back, under the toilet seat, the sink counter, in the sink, on the bathtub rim, inside the bathtub… I have disinfecting wipes with me at all times and will do a wipe of the room anyway, but had to use a few wipes for this stay. meh you get what you pay for but that should at least include general cleanliness and general politeness of the desk person.

The staff here are trying their best to keep up with things. The small town not having enough workforce to be able to fully staff a team of housekeepers is known, and the ones that are here are putting in work to try and keep things running.

I rate this place EXCELLENT. Beautiful inside and out. Wonderful dining facilities. Rooms are magnificent. Great pool area with stone fireplace. If I ever return to Minot I will seek out this place.
