We had an excellent stay. The accommodation had an awesome rustic feel with newly renovated, clean rooms and the restaurant below was also fantastic. The location was beautiful and close enough to walk to the Stourhead and take in the stunning gardens. Staff was also very kind and helpful. Cannot reccomend this place enough!

Wonderful charm, filled with antiques, location was central to travel, great atmosphere, beautiful historic architecture, exposed beams like stepping back in time,very helpful staff, charming all around in the Center of a small quaint village

Lovely, comfortable room in a converted skittles alley. Had a great meal in the restaurant. Went on a 1 1 1/2 hour hike in the morning. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Room was impeccably clean, staff were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and quality food. Parking was easy to find, and there was lots of room! It was nice to walk around the village, there was so much to see and shorts walks got you seeing so much!

A pleasant place to stay in the middle of the town. Wonderful breakfast in the morning. Parking is a bit tricky, but once you get a space nearby things are fine.

The staff of The Crown Inn went above and beyond for us. The free breakfast was amazing. I would stay again!

The property is lovely and the interior is amazing and old. It was tastefully decorated and all the amenities were top notch. Everything in the room was perfect and well thought of. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and happy. The price point is excellent too. My only concern was the wifi in room 1. There wasn’t any service but it didn’t take away from the entire experience. It’s a lovely place and I highly recommend it!

We just stayed one night here. It was some way out in the countryside outside of Dorchester. It is a pleasant rambling old building that could use some updating. The entry was not clearly marked and the front desk was surrounded by bags of clean linens that presumably had just been delivered. Our check in was fine and our room was clean and comfortable if a bit worn. There is no elevator and it was a bit of a warren of corridors making it challenging to get the bags up.
