Dew Valley Vacation Packages

Bed bugs found shortly after check-in. We had two rooms. One room was completely fine, the other had bed bugs. Unfortunately, a few hours after checking in, we discovered bed bugs in one of the rooms. One crawled over someone, then after killing it one was noticed crawling on someone's white shoe, which had been sitting on the hard floor near the wall. After finding it, we inspected the bed and found additional bed bugs along the box spring. We took photos of what we found. Thankfully, we discovered them before either person had fallen asleep. The night-shift employee moved us to another room, and she was helpful. The employee at checkout the following morning also apologized and seemed sincere. Unfortunately, no refund or rate adjustment was mentioned or offered. Because of the bed bugs, we had to bag our belongings and spend part of the following morning at a laundromat heat-treating our clothing before we could safely continue our road trip. We also had to keep other belongings isolated afterward because they could not be put in a dryer. I understand that bed bugs can occur even in otherwise clean hotels, and the room itself appeared clean before we discovered them. However, finding multiple bugs, including bugs along the box spring, was extremely concerning and caused considerable disruption to our trip. I hope management had the room professionally treated and inspected the surrounding rooms before allowing additional guests to stay there.

The staff were amazing. The area was quiet and beautiful.

This was a great place to stay. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a writing escape or a digital disconnect (they DO have great wifi). This is now our go to spot on the Southern Oregon Coast!
