"This is probably one of the best experiences that I have had whilst travelling. Don't be misled by the "hostel" designation of this guest house - it is really a boutique, luxury residence in the heart of Daikon Island. First and foremost, the guesthouse owner, who speaks very good English, was very kind and drove me around the whole day. Top Shimane Prefecture Hotel Reviews

Dormy Inn Express Matsue

8/10 Good

"Had a good stay."

Inisienoyado Keiunn

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel was a splurge for me on my recent trip to Japan and I think it was totally worth it!! I stayed one night on a visit to Izumo Grand Shrine, but I wish I could have stayed much longer. I picked a suite with a gorgeous private outdoor bath and little garden. I loved the public baths as well, there are 2 of them, and 5 first-come-first-served private baths. Free late night ramen and ice cream is so great. The staff members are wonderful!"

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsue-ekimae

8/10 Good

"Room was clean, location short walk from bus and train, staff was good. Recommend rental car or plan to use local bus as taxi is difficult to find at certain times and locations. The sightseeing circle bus only goes in 1 direction and is very inconvenient unless your desired stop is nearby otherwise it takes a very long time."
