I was accosted by an unsuccessful 'Artful Dodger' during my 90 second walk from the only viable restaurant to the hotel. During the day such considerations were not apparent. The other Protea hotel on the lagoon would be preferable. "

"Nicely located close to the pier. Lot‘s of restaurants and some shops n foot walking distance. Unfortunately ur room was facing to the main road in front of the building. So traffic noise already in the early morning was a bit unpleasant and shortened our sleeping time."

"We booked the junior suite at the Strand Hotel at the last minute through Expedia after we decided to travel to the Skeleton Coast on a whim. Don’t miss this hotel! It was worth every penny. The accommodation and service are 5 star! The breakfast selection is not to be beat. There are many dining options on and off property. The concierge recommended a guided tour of Sandwich Harbour, booked the tour for us and set up transportation. It was phenomenal! The massage at the spa was fantastic. The room with a balcony view of the ocean was stunning. No detail is missed at The Strand Hotel. I highly recommend it!"
