It was good. Had the Japanese style room. It was comfortable and spacious. Pretty close to the interesting things to see

Our stay at Shibu Hotel was a memorable highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with boots and umbrellas after we told them we wanted to venture out into the rain to view the monkey park. Our dining experiences were equally as pleasant with the staff greeting us and explaining the menus to us in detail. The area around the hotel was quiet and peaceful as well. On top of that all, the private bath offered was the last relaxing piece of the puzzle we needed....

Location was good but you need a car to get around. View was not great looking out at the train station but no big deal noise was not a problem staff were very helpful

Amazing onsen and the friendliest staff you will ever meet. The traditional Japanese room was large and futons were comfier than expected.

The property and facilities are beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful experience, thank you so much!

After staying here for five days, I went to LOTTE arai resort and only two days later I came back again. Between a luxury resort and a business hotel, I found this place to be a bang for your buck. It was really a more comfortable bed pillow and stay. It was very updated, rooms were great and we had plenty of space in the double room this time over the two twins. Overall I really enjoyed my time, parking was ample and staff was very friendly. Next time coming back will have to take a look at the...

Beautiful view.

This property was one of best stays I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely professional and courteous. Food/meals felt authentic and abundant. The onsens offered a more atheistic variety with the added privacy. We cant thank the staff enough for how polite and helpful they truly were!

I only had 2 nights in japan on a layover while travelling on business. I decided to squeeze in a day of skiing, see the snow monkeys, and dip in the region's famous hot springs and public baths. This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was beautiful and immaculate with traditional style and fine mountain views. The food was delicious and delicately presented with many small plates and courses of house made and local ingredients. The masseuse was an expert providing highly customized service...

My partner and I spent Christmas Eve at this Ryokan, and it was probably the best night of our trip. The dinner was incredible, the baths were pristine and beautiful, the staff incredibly accommodating. Japanese hospitality at its finest. Seriously, book this one.

We stayed at this lovely traditional hotel for three nights. Even though the staff doesn’t speak much English, they make it up with wonderful hospitality. I told the staff to let my husband in at midnight because he’s on the last train, the front desk clerk told me there’s no more taxi service and offered to pick him up. That was almost midnight. When we checked out they also gave me a small gift bag for my birthday ❤️ Every day we can choose different traditional outfits for the hot springs....
