« We were disappointed by the experience. We were in a sort of prefab building overlooking the car park. The insulation was very poor, both thermal and acoustic. The bathroom tap didn't fit the basin. The electronic shower system didn't work properly, which led to wasted water. The only positive point of the stay was the staff: very friendly and pleasant. »

« We had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both the rooms and communal seating areas were clean and well maintained. »

« Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in restaurant. Nice Lochside location. Great location for visiting the nearby Dumfries House a short drive away. »

« Bon déjeuner Bon service Personnel attentionné Chambre avec lit jumeaux côte à côte pour faire un lit King pas confortable »

« Comfortable room with nice shower room and spotlessly clean. Tasty food and excellent service in the restaurant. Right on the seafront with lots of parking »

« Room confort was OK but loud (windows and corridor) , no plug near the bed and small bathroom. The hotel and furnitures are outdated and the service is poor. Coffee/tea/water... not refilled if you're staying. Laundry took a week to get back when it's stated you give it in the morning and get it back in the evening. Breakfast is alright but expensive for it's quality. 3 pound a day for parking access »

« We booked a family room »

« Using the shower transform the bathroom into a swimming pool. Beside that the quality of serve one expect from a big name, very conveniently located »

« A good, clean, well-maintained hotel. Kind and helpful staff who were professional. Room was clean and well maintained. Free car parking on-site. Good food and very substantial breakfast. »

« Very nice and lovely clean Guess house !!! The hosts are simply the best ... !!!! »

« Très proche de la plage, personnel accueillant, très bon petit déjeuner. »

« Really nice room. Bathroom was lovely (some hairs in sink when we arrived, but not that a big deal). There was a wedding on in the hotel, with music heard thumping in our room until quite late (we’re not killjoys, but it was impossible to sleep and very loud). It would have been good to know this when booking, as we would have looked elsewhere. Called down to ask reception and they were dismissive and a bit rude. Also loud music heard in room in the morning as well. »

« A clean and quiet B&B close to Ayr beach and Pavilion, within walking distance of the town centre. The owner is helpful, just remember to let them know your approximate arrival time. »

« I had the best stay here! Sinclair was an amazing host, as well as the rest of the staff st the guesthouse too. I loved the little touch of the cookies and the bottles of water in the room too. Breakfast was tasty too. I would recommend anyone to stay here, I know I’ll be coming back here when I’m next in Ayr. Thank you all at the Lochinver Guesthouse! »

« Great for our small group of 4 adults. »
