Pleasantly surprised. Staff helpful and welcoming. Booked dinner - huge portions. Beer battered Haddock amazing, best I've had in a while. Missed breakfast, wasn't hungry. Room was clean, no complaints Shower could do with a hand rail, felt a bit unsteady in the cubicle. Really good nights sleep, very comfortable bed Will come again

The location is absolutely fabulous, you’re as close to the beach as you could get. The outdoor patio is a wonderful place to just sit and relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The breakfast offers three choices on top of the serve yourself items like cereal, fruit and croissants. I tried all three options, the traditional Scottish was my favorite, The hotel is dog friendly, and I enjoyed seeing the furry travel companions. There’s a Fish and Chips Take Away place just a 2 minutes walk away , and the hotel itself has a restaurant also

Excellent location and we’ve been coming here for years. Lately the decor is increasingly tired looking with particularly seating and carpets stained, broken shower fitting and shower curtain outdated. Breakfast was good quality and generous. Certain reception staff require training in customer service and complaint handling.

The Hotel is advertised as having parking,but thats not true,it has now been set up as a beer garden. The public car parks that they advise you to use are across the road and because the entrance and exit are set up to detere caravanners can be difficult to navigate ,two cars where badly damaged in the two days I was there entering and leaving them. The public spaces in the hotel are nice and presentable,breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. The room itself was shabby, very dated and carpet was stained,the bathroom was a mess. It was not worth what we payed for it.

Friendly check in, room comfortable for a few nights. Stayed in a king size bed, which was two singles pushed together making the central of the bed rather uncomfortable l. Other than that. A great stay and the restaurants food was lovely

Horizon has excellent location close to beach. It is dog friendly which I love as have small dog. Food is fine and good breakfast. Prices are reasonable. Horizon one main issue is rooms and some furnishings in lounge area are now needing replaced. Rooms badly need refurbished. It is a wee gem and I wish they would attend to these issues as if so I would make onging visits to it.
