![Looking for a place to shoot sunset with a friend, one of the places we had in mind was The Leaf Forest but... the place closed earlier that day, leaving us without any option. We started going down the road and we saw some parked cars at a side next to an empty ranch. « Wir hatten ein kleines, einfaches Zimmer, dass für eine Nacht ausreichend war. Es gibt auch größere Zimmer, für längere Aufenthalte. Das Haus liegt eingebettet in einem wunderschönen Garten inkl. eigener Kaffeeplantage. Ein schmaler Fluss umgeben von Bäumen grenzt direkt an. Der Gastgeber ist sehr herzlich und geht auf alle Fragen und Bitten ein. Wir haben selbstgemachtes Mangoeis bekommen, sowie einen selbstgemachten Saft aus Cas-Früchten. Ebenso eine Führung über die Kaffeeplantage. Das...

« Eduardo and Betty were FABULOUS! They could not have been nicer, more courteous hosts! The house was perfection and the home cooked meals were INCREDIBLE!The property itself is BREATHTAKING and very secure. It is behind a heavy electric gate, so we felt very safe!Eduardo communicates very efficiently and was so helpful in navigating our excursions… I hope some day to be able to have the privilege of staying at Gósen again and would give it 10 stars!! »

« The house is spacious and airy, and the yard also is large and nicely landscaped. The house sits further back from the road than most houses in Costa Rica, but there is still a lot of road noise for someone coming from the United States. The property manager was pleasant, responsive, and helpful, with a good command of English. We do have some suggestions for improvement: (1) keep more towels in the bathrooms; (2) add towel racks in bathrooms to allow for drying of towels; (3) supply paper...

« The owner greeted us with a beautifully set table with a fresh loaf of bread, butter and an assortment of tees and fresh coffee. They assisted us with information to local stores and restaurants. The house looks just as shown on their site. It is located in the highlands approx 40 min drive from the airport, in a quiet neighbourhood. The house is equipped with everything to make the stay worry free. The instructions offered by the owner were precise and complete. The kitchen and livingroom...

« The house was well maintained and comfortable (we didn't spend a lot of time there, but the kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable) and the location was perfect for hiking Volcan Barva and starting our CR trip. The only issue we had was with the management company, Vacasa, who didn't communicate our arrival to the house manager, but otherwise it was perfect. »
